Planning meeting of Bulgarian-Romanian emergency exercise under the program between the Bulgaria and Norway on excellence in Safe Nuclear Energy

On 9th and 10th March 2010 in the NRA headquarters was held the first meeting of the joint emergency planning and response exercise Planning Group. The exercise is in the framework of the project “NRA 2 – Emergency preparedness and response” under the program between the Republic of Bulgaria, Norway and Romania on excellence in Safe Nuclear Energy.
The exercise is planned to be held in April 2011. Representatives from the competent state authorities from both countries will participate in the exercise.
The goal of the exercise is to test the interaction and procedures for action applied in Bulgaria and in Romania in cases of transportation of spent fuel. During the preparation of the exercise each country will define specific national goals.
