The NRA issued licenses to the SE RAW for operation of Units 1 and 2 of Kozloduy NPP

On 18 October 2010 the NRA issued licenses to the SE RAW for operation of Units 1 and 2 of the KNPP as radioactive management facilities, which are subject to decommissioning.
The licenses for operation of Units 1 and 2 in condition “E” where the spent fuel was stored in the reactor pool were suspended in connection with the issuing of the new licenses to the SE RAW.
The new licenses for operation of a nuclear facility are issued to the SE RAW for a period of five years. They are issued in connection with Council of Ministers Decision 839 from 20.12.2008 with regard to the declaration of Units 1 and 2 as RAW management facilities.
