Event Title: Unplanned actuation of the automatic staggered start-up of the safety systems

Event description:

On 01.06.2010, Unit 5 is in planned annual outage. The reactor core is loaded according to the approved programme. According to the Technical Specifications of the Unit, heat removal equipment is working. In 14:31 the second programme of the automatic staggered start-up of channel three of the safety systems actuates unplanned. All equipment involved in this programme started and performed as they were designed. The heat removal pump from channel three is stopped and in 14:35 the heat removal pump from channel one is introduced.

A commission for investigation of the causes and elimination of the failure has been appointed.

According to the international Nuclear Event Scale (INES) the event is rated as “deviation”.
